Skull Cancer

These head and neck cancers often originate inside your skull base as a primary tumor. Several blood vessels and nerves are spread over your skull base. Hence, different cancer (or tumor) show symptoms based on the location. Skull base tumors may be noncancerous (benign), or cancerous (malignant). Cancer tissues of the skull base generally rapidly grow with the potential to spread to other organs. Chondrosarcomas, Esthesioneuroblastomas, Nasopharyngeal Carcinomas, Adenoid Cystic Carcinomas, and Chordomas are some of the known skull base cancers.

Dr. Manish Goswami, consultant head and neck cancer surgeon, specializes in various sorts of treatment for providing a comprehensive cancer management program. Most skull cancers are treated with minimally invasive endoscopic endonasal (a process in which your surgeon gains access to the affected area through your nose) surgery consistent with international protocols. Thus, you don’t need a large incision for the surgery.
