Salivary Gland Cancer

The development of malignant tissues in the parotid, submandibular, sublingual, and minor salivary glands is called salivary gland cancer. It causes abnormal cell growth in the major and minor salivary glands of the mouth floor. Based on the speed of cancer growth, salivary gland cancers are graded into three categories – low, intermediate, and high. Your doctor will decide or recommend the mode of treatment after analyzing the cancer growth through your physical exam, biopsy, or imaging tests.

Dr. Manish Goswami heads a multidisciplinary team to treat your cancer with the assistance of a group of professional staff. The treatment procedure may include endoscopic surgeries such as parotidectomy, neck dissection, and reconstructive surgery followed by radiation therapy. However, some salivary gland cancers may require multiple operations to remove the affected tissues and reinstall your appearance.
